This is the outcome of a long exploration of a very old neighbourhood in Haifa, my hometown.

The neighbourhood has a rich tapestry of inhabitants: Arabs, both Muslims and Christians, and Jews, coupled with wonderful old architecture although neglected. I was in search of the uniqueness of the apartments, inner spaces and halls of the derelict buildings, no less than I sought after their exceptional residents. Greatly fascinated, I started knocking on people’s doors and presented my documentation project and myself. Surprisingly, I was warmly welcomed.
