This project reflects a sense of personality performed through space.

Unlike other subsets of portraiture these photographs portray character through the surroundings as well. The backdrop is often as important as the person in the centre, and plays a pivotal role in conveying emotions, atmosphere and information.

Furthermore, the project, deals with notions of private and public spaces and their functions, e.g. living rooms, self presentations of people and the social roles they play, the meaning of objects in their daily lives, and the material culture.
